There are over 200 viruses that can cause a cold. Evidence suggests that stress and allergies can increase your chances of catching a cold.
Make your own blend to use frequently during the cold season.

Essential Oil Cold and Flu Blend
Blend 10-15 drops each essential oil:
Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Ginger, Lemon, Cinnamon and Rosemary
Mix by shaking blend thoroughly.
Use this by adding a few drops to a hot bath or a diffuser.
Or add a drop or two to a 12-16 ounce glass of water, and sip it throughout the day.
Or make a spritzer bottle by adding about 10-15 drops of your blend to filtered water. Shake well. Use this spray in a sick room or anywhere in your house or work area.
You could even use this blend along with some lotion or cream to rub on your neck and chest if you are congested or stuffy. (Do not rub essential oil directly on skin it may cause irritation)
